@CeeMajor - Humble Beginnings (Review)

You can grab Humble Beginnings for free this Monday from www.ceemajor.co.uk

The prophet of East London hiphop is back with what I can only describe as a flawless 5 track EP that spreads positivity and knowledge among the masses.

Cee Major has come a long way in his career in the last few years, from becoming a regular battler on Don't Flop to dropping freestyles and videos on such platforms as Link up Tv, JDZ Media and Charlie Sloth's Fire In The Streets series. In my opinion the uk has not witnessed the rise of a conscious artist on this level since Akala surfaced on the scene all those years ago.

I'm lucky enough to have the new release "Humble Beginnings" already and since receiving it have found myself unable to stop listening to it! Combining deep and thoughtful productions with Cee's usual optimistic, thought provoking lyricism delivered in multiple tongue twisted flows, this release isn't your average uk hip hop cd. I find myself having the utmost respect for the journey of this talented young artist as I kick back and listen to him give his vision of modern day London on "East London 2" the follow up to his anthem "East London".

There are a lot of people out there that will judge Cee Major purely on a visual basis, a skinny white male sporting ginger hair and spectacles but I insist that you not fall into the trap of judging a book by it's cover as this book is filled with the very essence of life itself. You will never see him in a video wearing big chains, surrounded by industry hoes or 30 odd so called "Hood" friends but I put it to you that Cee Major defines uk Hip Hop in it's rawest yet most polished form.

The music on this EP is award worthy, infact I'd go as far to say that some of the best music coming from our country this year is coming from this one artist. I'm sure you already know that this release gets a rating of 100 out of 10 from us at Knowledge Is Power but we urge you to grab it for yourself on Monday and be part of the growing number of fans that are helping this young star realise his true potential.
